Accommodation & energy consumption
The green colour. Every year, we strive to be more sustainable than the year before. We believe in the necessity of (further) sustainability and corporate social responsibility. In doing so, we take into account the continuity and employment of and within our organisation. We are committed to making our internal organisation as sustainable as possible.

Accommodation & energy consumption
Making our business premises more sustainable is a permanent point of attention. Our warehouses have LED lighting. Electricity and gas consumption is handled with care. Part of our premises is equipped with solar panels.

BRC Storage & Distribution issue3 certified at AA-level
We are certified for BRC Storage & Distribution issue 3 at AA level. With this certificate for this international BRC food safety standard, we demonstrate competence in HACCP, hygiene, food safety and quality systems. We therefore show that we take consumer and stakeholder safety seriously.

CO2 compensation on all shipments
Tenderer compensates the CO2 emissions of all transport movements for our Christmas hampers and gifts. We manage this via the Climate Neutralgroup according to the Gold Standard. As a client, you will subsequently receive a statement tailored to your organisation.

Environmental Policy Plan and Environmental Care System
We have our own Environmental Care System based on ISO-14001 in order to control and, where possible, reduce the environmental impact of our business operations.

Health of our employees
As an organisation, we like to contribute to a healthy lifestyle. We offer free fruit and spring water to our employees and encourage exercise during the (afternoon) break(s). We also encourage employees to come to work by bike as far as possible.

Staff awareness
Explaining the need for sustainability in our thinking and actions is a permanent task for management and employees. This is anchored in our corporate culture.

Working from home & flexible working hours
Employees are encouraged to work one or two days from home. The possibility of flexible (traffic jam-avoiding) working hours is also offered.

Certified educational company
We think it is important that people continue to grow and that craftsmanship is maintained. That is why, as a recognised educational company, we offer internships and work experience places for pupils and students at MBO level in logistics, administration and graphic workfield.

Boxes, filling and protection materials
All used cardboard, filling and extra protection materials are, apart from the purpose for which they are primarily purchased, also evaluated and chosen for their sustainable characteristics.

Minimising air
Christmas hampers are packed in well-fitting boxes with little extra space. Our Keuzekado fulfilment partner has a fully automatic packing machine at its disposal. It measures the height of the box contents after which the box is folded into the exact required size to save empty space. In addition to reducing packaging materials, the machine saves air, i.e. space in the vans, and CO2 emissions.

Order "intelligent" quantities
The purchasing of the Christmas hamper orders is bundled as much as possible on the basis of cost-effective and sustainable considerations. The impact of reducing the delivery frequency on the logistics operation is significant and with it the impact on CO2 emissions.

Food Bank
We do not waste anything. Surpluses of foodstuffs that are in spite of everything left over are donated to the food bank.

Buying as close as possible
Wherever possible, we try to buy products from suppliers who produce locally, regionally, in the Netherlands or in Europe, rather than far off in other production countries.

Assortment
A significant part of the Keuzekado range has a sustainable character. We work together with many (small-scale) suppliers who produce on a green or fair trade basis and have a minimal environmental footprint.

Packaging at SW (sheltered employment) companies
We outsource the packaging of a significant part of our Christmas hampers to social work facilities. The employees who work there are people with a disadvantage on the labour market.
